🛕CHAR DHAM ITINERARY – 11N/12D

Destinations Covered: Delhi – Barkot – Yamunotri – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Phata – Kedarnath – Badrinath – Rudraprayag – Haridwar – Delhi


The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, encompassing four holy shrines nestled in the majestic Himalayas—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Each site represents a unique spiritual significance: Yamunotri is the source of the revered Yamuna River; Gangotri marks the origin of the sacred Ganga; Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is dedicated to Lord Shiva; and Badrinath, the abode of Lord Vishnu, completes the divine circuit  


 
🗓 Day 1: Delhi – Barkot (Yamunotri Base) [Approx. 400 km / 10-11 hrs]
  • Early morning departure from Delhi.
  • Drive via Mussoorie with scenic hill views.
  • Reach Barkot by evening.
  • Overnight stay in Barkot.


🗓 Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot [32 km drive + 6 km trek (one side)]
  • Drive to Janki Chatti in the morning.
  • Start trek to Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
  • After darshan, return to Barkot.
  • Overnight stay in Barkot.


🗓 Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi / Harsil [Approx. 100 km / 4-5 hrs]
  • Drive to Uttarkashi or Harsil.
  • En route, visit the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
  • Check-in to hotel and rest.
  • Overnight stay in Uttarkashi or Harsil.


🗓 Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi [Approx. 100 km one way / 3-4 hrs]
  • Early morning drive to Gangotri Temple.
  • Attend darshan and experience the divine aura of River Ganga.
  • Return to Uttarkashi / Harsil.
  • Overnight stay in Uttarkashi or Harsil.


🗓 Day 5: Uttarkashi – Phata [Approx. 230 km / 8-9 hrs]
  • Drive to Phata, a base for Kedarnath Yatra (helicopter or trekking).
  • En route, enjoy the scenic views of Tehri Dam.
  • Check-in and relax.
  • Overnight stay in Phata.


🗓 Day 6: Phata – Kedarnath [By Helicopter or Trek]
  • Early morning departure to Kedarnath by helicopter / drive to Sonprayag & start 16 km trek.
  • Visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple (One of the 12 Jyotirlingas).
  • Overnight stay in Kedarnath (basic accommodation).


🗓 Day 7: Kedarnath – Phata (Return)
  • Early morning darshan (if missed on Day 6).
  • Return to Phata via helicopter or trek.
  • Rest and recuperate.
  • Overnight stay in Phata.


🗓 Day 8: Phata – Badrinath [Approx. 220 km / 7-8 hrs]
  • Depart for Badrinath, via Joshimath.
  • Visit the holy Badrinath Temple, Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and more.
  • Overnight stay in Badrinath.


🗓 Day 9: Badrinath – Rudraprayag [Approx. 150 km / 4-5 hrs]
  • Morning darshan (if pending).
  • Drive through the confluence towns to Rudraprayag.
  • Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.


🗓 Day 10: Rudraprayag – Haridwar [Approx. 150 km / 4-5 hrs]
  • Drive towards Haridwar, en route enjoy scenic landscapes.
  • Visit Triveni Ghat for Ganga Aarti.
  • Overnight stay in Haridwar.


🗓 Day 11: Haridwar – Delhi [Approx. 250 km / 6-7 hrs]
  • Morning after breakfast, depart for Delhi.
  • Arrive by evening.
  • Overnight stay in Delhi (optional).


🗓 Day 12: Departure from Delhi
  • Proceed for onward journey after breakfast.
  • End of a spiritually enriching Chardham Yatra.

Inclusions:

  • Helicopter booking assistance for Kedarnath (ticket cost extra).

  • Palki, pony, or doli charges during treks.
  • Entrance fees to monuments or temples.
  • Personal expenses: laundry, shopping, tips, etc.
  • Any other item not mentioned in the inclusions.
